ATF / environmental permit for WEEE treatment
An authorised treatment facility (ATF) is any site licensed or permitted to treat WEEE — usually with an environmental permit (a waste management licence or EASR authorisation in Scotland). On the EA register these appear as, for example, “A28 WEEE Treatment Site” or a WEEE ATF standard-rules permit; many ITADs hold bespoke permits under other site types.
