Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.
About areera
areera describes itself as the UK's largest recycler of display equipment: televisions, computer monitors and other screen-based devices. It is based at Ashday Works in Elland, West Yorkshire, and lists further recycling sites in Huddersfield, Bridgend and Bury St Edmunds.
Screens are taken apart by vision-guided robots rather than shredded, so mercury lamps and other hazardous parts can be removed safely and circuit boards, metals, cable and plastics recovered as clean fractions; X-ray sorting separates plastics containing persistent organic pollutants. Reusable parts such as circuit boards, power adapters and memory modules are tested and sold through its eBay spares shop.
Its fleet collects screens daily from council household waste recycling centres and businesses, and it also collects fridges in Wales. It does not offer IT asset disposal or data-erasure services, so it suits bulk monitor and screen recycling rather than whole-computer disposal.
