SEPA exemption or EASR registration
In Scotland, smaller waste activities were run under exemptions registered with SEPA. Since 1 November 2025, repairing, refurbishing or dismantling up to 35 tonnes of WEEE at a time needs an EASR registration (standard conditions EASR-SC-033); larger operations need an EASR permit.
