About Airedale Computers (Airedale Computer Recycling)
Airedale Computers started in January 2002 in the Airedale area of Castleford, West Yorkshire, as a project to retrain long-term unemployed people. All its profits go to the registered charity Chrysalis Youth & Community Project.
It offers free business collections across Yorkshire, sanitises hard drives free of charge (shredding is available for £3 per drive) and refurbishes computers for sale through its local shops, website and eBay, or gives them to good causes. Residents and small traders can drop equipment off free, apart from CRTs and TVs.
It is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher and says it holds waste carrier registrations, a T11 refurbishment exemption and hazardous waste premises registration.
