About WEEE-RecycleIT

WEEE-RecycleIT is the trading name of Mapatom Ltd, set up in 2007. It collects computers, laptops, servers, storage, networking kit and peripherals from organisations across the UK, running published collection routes on set days.

The free model is funded by refurbishing and reselling equipment in the UK. All data-bearing devices are removed and wiped, and any that fail are physically destroyed. Customers who want to watch can book on-site shredding of hard drives, SSDs, tapes, phones and other media. Items that can't be reused go to a UK AATF.

It doesn't collect from homes, but offers free drop-off to local people and buys larger batches of high-spec equipment.
