About Iron Mountain ITAD (UK, incl. Wisetek)
Iron Mountain, best known for records storage and shredding, offers IT asset lifecycle management in the UK for corporate and data-centre equipment. Wisetek, an ITAD company whose UK operation was based at Redmoor in Milton Keynes, is now part of Iron Mountain: wisetek.co.uk and wisetek.net redirect to Iron Mountain's ITAD pages, which also link to Wisetek's Returntek portal.
The service covers decommissioning and packing of assets, on-site scanning, collection with a secure chain of custody, data sanitisation with its Teraware software to NIST 800-88, on-site or off-site shredding of storage media, remarketing to recover value, and recycling of e-waste. It handles laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, servers and other data-centre kit, with certificates of destruction and settlement reports. It is sold to organisations, not to individuals.
