About UK IT Recycling
UK IT Recycling has run a computer and electrical waste recycling centre on Pitchford Road at Condover, south of Shrewsbury, since 2004. It collects IT and other WEEE from businesses and public bodies across the UK, with regular runs to the West Midlands and London.
It offers on-site destruction of hard drives, tapes and discs by shredding or degaussing with a destruction certificate, as well as off-site processing. Working computers are wiped and donated to UK charities and support groups rather than exported.
Members of the public can bring home PCs and IT equipment to the Condover site for free recycling on weekdays and watch their hard drive being degaussed.
