About Jamie's Computers

Jamie's Computers is the IT recycling social enterprise of the Society of St James, a Hampshire homelessness charity. It takes unwanted computers, laptops, tablets, phones, monitors, printers and accessories from individuals, schools, businesses and public bodies, and proceeds support the charity's work.

Data is erased with Blancco software in a secure room, with certificates free for businesses (a small charge applies for individuals). Around 70% of equipment is reused or refurbished and the rest is broken down for recycling. It also offers volunteering placements for people building work skills.
