Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.

About Reconome

Reconome Technologies was set up in 2018 and describes itself as a certified B Corp. It collects surplus laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, monitors, servers and network switches from organisations, erases data to NIST 800-88 in its own secure facility (with physical destruction on request), and refurbishes devices for reuse. It is the technology partner behind Good Things Foundation's National Device Bank.

Refurbished equipment is sold to businesses, schools and charities with at least a 12-month warranty, and it also runs a buyback scheme for used IT. Proceeds and devices support digital inclusion work with councils, housing associations and charities, including device lending libraries. Faulty items are dismantled and sent to an approved authorised treatment facility (AATF) for recycling.

Clients receive asset reports listing make, model and serial numbers, erasure certificates and environmental and social impact reporting.
