Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.

About MyLaptop-Shop

MyLaptop-Shop was set up in Lancashire in 2014 and recycles and repurposes computers, laptops, servers, monitors and other IT equipment from organisations across the UK, including schools. Collection is free for qualifying devices, and customers receive a waste transfer note and an itemised, graded asset inventory.

Data is wiped with CESG-certified erasure software, and hard drives and SSDs can be crushed on or off site. Devices with remaining value can be bought from the customer; refurbished machines are sold through its online shop, and some have been supplied to schools in Ghana.

The company is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher, an upper-tier waste carrier and says it holds ISO 27001 for its refurbishment work.
