About MG Waste Management

MG Waste Management, based on the Vaughan Street industrial estate in Gorton, Manchester, collects redundant ICT and other electrical equipment from households, schools, colleges, businesses, the NHS and local authorities across the country, from a few items up to container loads.

Its staff repair and refurbish a large share of the equipment it receives, and the rest is broken down for parts and materials under what it describes as a zero-percent WEEE landfill policy. Data destruction is offered at two levels of software overwriting to US DoD 5220.22-M, with certificates listing make, model, size and serial number, and drives can also be crushed on site or at its facility.

The company works with the charity Hope Direct, which sends donated goods to help children in Sierra Leone.
