About ILM Highland

ILM Highland is a social enterprise and Scottish registered charity founded in 1994. From its site at Teaninich Industrial Estate in Alness it collects, treats and recycles electrical waste of all kinds, including laptops, desktops, phones and printers, and says it is the only SEPA-approved WEEE treatment facility in the Highlands.

Businesses can book scheduled or one-off collections and pay published per-item, per-tonne and mileage rates; hard drives can be destroyed for a fee with a certificate. Households can use free pink drop-off bins and a council-funded collection service.

Usable appliances and some laptops are refurbished and sold through shops in Alness and Inverness, with profits funding home-support services for older and vulnerable people.
