Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.

About Computers for Charities

Computers for Charities started in 1994 and now runs a refurbishment warehouse in Eastbourne, with its postal address in Hailsham, East Sussex. It says it has redistributed over 500,000 computers to charities, schools, community groups and overseas projects.

Organisations donate laptops, desktops, monitors and smartphones; hard drives are removed and shredded in-house as standard, with destruction certificates and transfer-of-liability paperwork. Usable machines are rebuilt as a Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher and passed on or sold at low cost, and non-reusable equipment is recycled under WEEE rules. On-site drive shredding can be arranged for higher-security donors.
