About Circular IT group (formerly Re-Tek)

Re-Tek began in the 1990s as an IT disposal and refurbishment business south of Glasgow and rebranded as Circular IT group from January 2025. The UK operation runs from a processing facility in East Kilbride, with an office in Bristol.

It collects retired IT from organisations, erases data with Blancco software (or shreds drives where wiping is not possible), refurbishes and resells what it can and recycles the rest. It also offers on-site data destruction, data centre decommissioning, IT rental and leasing, and pays for equipment with resale value.

The group says the UK operation is an SEPA-approved treatment facility and is ADISA and ISO certified. Its services are aimed at businesses and public bodies rather than householders.
