About Bywaters
Bywaters is a long-established commercial waste and recycling company based at Lea Riverside in Bow, where it runs a solar-powered materials recovery facility; it also has a construction waste site at Gateway Road.
Its WEEE service collects electrical items of all kinds, from IT equipment to fridges and washing machines. The company says it can arrange data wiping for IT equipment, passes reusable items to charities or local businesses, and sends the rest to specialist partner facilities to be broken down for recycling. It also offers confidential paper shredding at its own BS EN 15713 facility, though that service is described for paper rather than data-bearing media.
