Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.

This is the company’s own claim, as stated on its website. We haven’t checked it. How to judge “zero to landfill” claims.
About Byebyte
Byebyte offers free collection of redundant IT, AV and PA equipment from organisations anywhere in the UK, from a single laptop to whole offices, server rooms and venue clearances. Its head office is listed at The Engine Room, Battersea Power Station, with a facility in Queen Road, Nottingham.
Collected items are logged by serial number and drives are wiped to NIST 800-88; drives that are not reused can be physically shredded, and a certificate of destruction is issued. Working equipment is refurbished and offered first to verified UK charities, CICs and schools, with the rest sold or broken down for recycling.
The service is funded from refurbishment, resale and materials recovery rather than customer fees, but its terms list charges for failed collections, locked devices and certain awkward items.
