Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.

Environmental claims

They say

“Aims to recycle 100% of IT assets so nothing goes to landfill; all processed in the UK”

This is the company’s own claim, as stated on its website. We haven’t checked it. How to judge “zero to landfill” claims.

About Zero Tech Waste

Zero Tech Waste is a Reading-area IT recycling company with a processing warehouse at Beenham Grange Business Park. It collects redundant IT from businesses, schools and other organisations across the UK, and also accepts household e-waste and personal devices.

Data-bearing equipment is wiped within 72 hours following NCSC guidance, with data destruction certificates and waste transfer notes issued. Working kit is refurbished for reuse (including device donation schemes) and the rest is dismantled for recycling in the UK. The company says it offsets twice the carbon of each collection and provides a carbon report. It states ISO 27001 and ISO 14001 are planned rather than held.
