Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.
About WeeeCharity
WeeeCharity began in 2016 in a Warrington church run by Oasis Warrington and now has its own workshop at Tanning Court, with paid staff, volunteers and work placements for people facing barriers to employment.
It collects IT and other electricals free from businesses, schools and households across mainland UK, and runs a drop-off centre and a postal option for small amounts. Data-bearing items are barcoded and tracked, then wiped to HMG IS5 Enhanced or shredded if wiping is not possible, with a certificate for each item.
Equipment is repaired and reused or resold where possible, including through an eBay shop, and the rest is recycled. It takes a wide range of IT, from servers, laptops and phones to networking kit, but not CRT monitors or inkjet printers.
