Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.
About Townstech
Townstech is a family business founded in 2009 that started in Edmonton and now works from a warehouse at Stort Mill in Harlow, Essex. It collects IT and electrical waste from schools, offices and homes, with no minimum quantity and no charge, and says it collects nationwide.
Hard disks are erased with government-standard software and customers receive a waste transfer note and a data removal certificate. The business aims to refurbish and repair as much equipment as possible rather than break it down for metals, says it does not export e-waste, and donates refurbished equipment to UK schools and charities that cannot afford new IT.
The warehouse is open by appointment only on weekdays.
