Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.
About The Greener Side (ECS)
The Greener Side is the recycling service of Effective Consumable Solutions (ECS), a supplier of consumables to printer and copier engineers. It supplies recycling boxes to dealers and their customers and collects them when full, providing waste transfer paperwork and monthly consignment reports, including through its Atom software.
Besides toner and ink cartridges and other printing consumables, it accepts photocopiers, multi-function printers, desktop computers, laptops, servers, server racks, fax machines and mobile phones. Devices that store data are wiped with NATO- and CESG-approved erasure software, and customers receive an audit report listing serial numbers, asset tags, the method used and the engineer.
WEEE is sent to authorised treatment facilities in the UK, and some appliances go into a refurbishment and reuse programme.
