Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.

About Getting Oxfordshire Online

Getting Oxfordshire Online started in 2021 with backing from Oxfordshire Community Foundation and the county council, and is now run by the charities SOFEA (lead partner, in Didcot) and Aspire (in Oxford), with Bicester Green on the management team. Refurbishment hubs take in laptops, tablets and smartphones, securely wipe them, fix minor faults such as batteries, screens and chargers, install a modern operating system and pass them on, with free SIMs and support, to people referred by local organisations.

The public can drop devices at the Didcot and Oxford hubs or at partner drop-off points in Oxford, Wantage and Cholsey. More than half of its devices come from corporate and public-sector donors: it can work alongside a donor's existing ITAD provider, arrange logistics, or wipe devices in-house with KillDisk and supply certificates, while making clear it is not a fully accredited commercial ITAD service.

Devices that cannot be reused are passed to recycling partners, and some unsuitable items are sold to raise funds.
