Verified means we found it on the official register or the scheme’s own list on the date shown. Company says means it is stated on the company’s website and we haven’t checked it yet. Registers can lag behind, so “not found” or “no longer current” is not an accusation. What these mean.

About 2econd Chance

2econd Chance is a computer recycling charity working from Enterprise House in Hendon, north-west London. It gives work experience in refurbishing desktops, laptops, tablets and phones to NEET adults, long-term unemployed people and young people with an Education Health Care Plan, many with learning difficulties, autism or mental health needs, and is a BCS Tech 10 accredited training provider.

Organisations and companies can book a collection of working devices up to six years old. Data is wiped and a data-destruction certificate is issued; hard drive crushing is available on request, and devices can also be donated already wiped or without drives. It aims to wipe and refurbish within three months.

Around a quarter of refurbished devices are donated to people at risk of digital exclusion through community partners; the rest are sold at affordable prices through its online shop and eBay. It also runs a picture-framing training strand.
