About Balcan
Balcan Engineering, based in Horncastle, has worked in lamp disposal and recycling for more than 40 years. It makes lamp and vial crushing machines and runs a lamp and LED recycling service.
It also offers a general WEEE collection service. It lists items such as desktop computers, laptops, printers, copiers and phones among the equipment it will take. Balcan sorts the collected waste by category: lighting is treated at its own licensed plant and other WEEE is sent on for recycling.
